The success of South Deep as a safe, low grade, bulk mechanised and profitable gold mine is centred on our people, who are at the heart of everything we do. Currently, we employ 2,310 people directly and 1,674 contractors. Contractors are typically engaged in activities that require specialist expertise, and for projects with limited timeframes.
